We'd just like to reiterate the importance of descriptions with regards to those images submitted to the Photojournalism categories.
If your image is Photojournalistic, please include a description! It doesn't have to be lengthy - who, what, where, when.
An example:
Description says: "A Massai Village in Kenya, Jan 2009"
Stories/in-depth descriptions are always welcome. Example:
The description here gives the viewer a good background into details of the protest, which not only puts the image into context but also educates the reader, which is always a good thing : )
Thanks to all those who have submitted so far - keep up the great work!

The Strobist - http://bit.ly/dkKYdh if someone doesn't know this blog it so leave my note and go check it! I saw this blog by David Hobby a year ago and it changed my perspective about photography in general and lighting particularly. His blog is about using your small flash not on your camera.

A quick update
The Contributors tier has a max membership of 100 users, as this group will have well over a thousand, so I have made everyone members, which is unlimited.
At present, there is a bug in members which is stopping group admins from allowing members to submit. dA admins are sorting it out.
Please remember groups is currently in Alpha, so things like this will happen.
Thanks
Welcome to #Street-PJ
#Street-PJ aims to bring together the best of Street Photography and Photojournalism. Often, these two types of photography overlap, and we hope to be able to showcase the cream of the crop. The images here should reflect and epitomise the best of these genres, and should provide a good understanding for those wanting examples of these types of photography.
Who Can Submit?
This is not an elitist or selective group by any means, and we want everyone to have a fair chance of seeing their own work in the Gallery, so whoever joins the group will automatically be categorised as a ‘Contributor’, after which you can submit to us.
